Why this matters
This research is not just about attending church but rather faithfully attending and serving in a local church. Men prefer men when it comes to the spiritual authority in their lives. Hebrews 13:17 directs us to “Obey your leaders and submit to them for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account.” Men are much more likely to meaningfully engage in a local church who has a senior leader that is a man.
