Proverbs 31:28,29
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.””

This Proverbs 31 wife and mom is blessed by both her husband and children. They honor her and appreciate her and they do not take her for granted. The husband though takes it to the next level. He offers words of thanks but he also shares intentional words of genuine praise. This is not flattery – even though it may seem that way to an outsider. His words are from his heart and he has no agenda except to praise her and to build her up.

Every wife longs to hear words of affirmation. It is the design and intent of Almighty God that this is happening inside the home and that she does not need to seek it outside the home.

A husband must creatively, intentionally and continually speak/write words of praise to the most important person in his life and model this for his children and others that touch his life.

Men like us need to be exhorted in this area. Let’s pass this on to others.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be intentional in creating an environment in my home where genuine words of praise flow freely. In Jesus Name. Amen
