Delighting God!

It’s June 15 – taking a look at Proverbs 15!  So what ‘delights God‘?

Could it be obedience?  Maybe generosity?  How about reaching out to the broken?

These all are good but here is insight from verse 8 in chapter 15: “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.”  Wow.  Not only does God not delight in the sacrifice of the wicked; it is an abomination – a thing that causes Him disgust. 

What does delight God is when the upright pray. Of course prayer is always an act of faith.  Hebrews 11 – without faith it is impossible to please God. God is delighted when we live and act by faith! It’s time to pause and pray.
