Titus 3:5-6

“He saved us by the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,”

This ‘poured out’ is immediate and is dramatic and is solely because ‘He saved us’. The same word, pour out, is used again and again in Revelations 16 when the angels “pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

‭The blessing and the work of the Holy Spirit begins immediately at conversion:

Ephesians 1:13-14

“When you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance…”

God’s Holy Spirit is a deposit that signifies ‘new ownership’. Peter describes this new ownership as:

I Peter 2:10

“Once you were no people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

Prayer: Thank You, Father, for sealing my salvation with the deposit of Your Holy Spirit. You saved me and I am yours. In Jesus Name, Amen!
