Choosing the Desert

It’s September 21st, so we’re reading the 21st chapter of Proverbs. Verse 19 catches my attention and reminds me why young men need wise counsel before considering marriage. “Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.” Men will often disengage and choose ‘the desert’ – or withdrawal, to escape nagging and complaining. Reminder to young men that inner beauty trumps outer beauty!
