Ed Tandy McGlasson is the founder and executive director of The Blessing of The Father Ministries. He is a pastor, best-selling author, renowned conference and corporate event speaker, and a five-year veteran in the National Football League. As a former lineman in the NFL, Ed played with the Giants, the Jets, and the Rams. Ed has a big vision to reach hurting families with the love – and the Blessing – of the Father through his testimony and life-changing message.
Ed’s call to ministry began in college, after being healed from a career-ending knee injury that led to his conversion and faith in Christ. Ed details his life in his best-selling book The Difference A Father Makes, including the loss of his heroic military dad in a tragic U.S. Navy plane crash in 1956. This book has changed thousands of readers’ lives with nearly 200,000 copies sold since its release in 2004. The Difference a Father Makes has also been translated into Spanish, and Ed has since authored two other highly acclaimed books: Be Loved (2009, Ampelon) and The Father You’ve Always Wanted (2013, Baker).
Ed entered the ministry in 1984 and started sharing his testimony and speaking at evangelistic crusades and planted his current church, Stadium Vineyard in Anaheim, California in 1988.
Today, Blessing of The Father Ministries helps men and women of all ages to live under the power of God’s blessing and smile, impacting the way we relate to God, our spouses, our children, our families, friends, and people we encounter in our everyday lives. Ed’s message strikes the core of an epidemic: a fatherless society. He believes it can be addressed and healed through the hope found in the blessing of our Father in Heaven.
Ed has spoken at numerous conferences and corporate events throughout the country and across the world, including numerous rallies for Billy Graham crusades. He and his wife of 34 years, Jill, live in Southern California and have five adult children.
