Wisdom for Young Men!
It is the 31st of August, so we read the 31st chapter in Proverbs where we find ‘wisdom for young men’. This entire chapter is must reading for young men, but verse 10 stands out: “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.” This chapter describes the woman that a young man should seek and find, *note that he is the one who does the seeking! What does he look for? It starts with noble character.
Noble – possessing exalted moral and mental character and excellence. Movies, social media, television and a lost culture send the wrong message to the 20’s something male. This ‘noble character’ is the beginning of a description of God’s Best for the young man who longs to follow and honor his God. This is wisdom for young men that needs to be shared and championed, as iron sharpens iron.
